\(\begingroup\)Hallo, was mir an dem Artikel besonders gut gefällt, ist, dass er eine Lücke schließt, welche mir häufig in der Literatur begegnet ist. Machen wir uns nichts vor: Die Methoden der algebraischen Topologie sind abgefahren. Es kommt nicht von ungefähr, dass die Kategorientheorie aus der algebraischen Topologie entstanden ist, um mit der Abstraktion fertig zu werden. Trotzdem oder vielleicht auch gerade deswegen wird in der Literatur recht wenig motiviert, woher das alles kommt. Man baut erst eine riesige und furchtbar komplizierte Maschinerie auf und rechtfertigt diese erst im Nachhinein. Vielen mag das genügen. Mir geht es aber so, dass ich wissen will: Hey, was kann ich Cooles mit dieser Theorie anstellen? Wo sind die bisher ungeahnten Zusammenhänge? Natürlich kann man diese Fragen letztendlich nur dann befriedigend beantworten, wenn man sich die Theorie aneignet. Dennoch finde ich eine Motivation, was man denn mit der Theorie grob anstellen kann, ziemlich wichtig. Und genau auf diese Frage geht der Artikel ein. Daumen hoch von mir dafür.
